There are multiple ways to delete a Contact. Use either of the methods available below.
Method 1:
From the Home, Client Management, or Portfolio Management tabs, click the Activities page and go to Contacts on the left hand panel.
Select the contact to be deleted by placing a check mark in the corresponding box.
From the menu above the grid, click the black X to delete the selected contact.
Only a few contacts can be selected at once with this option, so we recommend using Method 2 if deleting multiple contacts.
Method 2:
From the Client Management tab, click the Contacts page.
Select the contact to be deleted by placing a check mark in the corresponding box.
From the menu above the grid, use the Action drop-down menu and select Edit, Delete.
Note: When a client is deleted from Morningstar Office, the contacts associated with the client remain in the system. To easily find contacts that are no longer attached to an existing client/prospect, sort the ‘Member of Client/Prospect’ column in the Contacts grid and look for contacts that have a blank space in that field. Any contacts that are not attached to a client/prospect and are no longer needed in the database, can be deleted.
