Alerts Video

With Alerts, you can specify clients, accounts, and individual securities to track and we will notify you of changes.

You can access Alerts information on the Home, Client Management, Portfolio Management, and Research tabs.

New Alerts for a Security, Client/Account, or Portfolio can be set up through the top menu under New, Alerts, or from the individual tabs listed below.

Home Tab Alerts

From the Home tab, Home page, you can create new Client/Account or Security Alerts by using the Quick Start widget. Click the New Alert icon to open the Alert Type dialog box. Select Security or Client/Account and click OK. (You can access Portfolio alerts only from within Accounts.)  

Additionally from the Home page, the Alerts widget tracks multiple alert types along with associated triggered and total numbers. If you click "More" located at the bottom of the widget, the system opens the Client Management, Alerts grid so that you can review all alerts.

Practice Alerts (Client/Account)

  1. In the left navigation pane, click the Client Management tab, and then click Alerts. Alerts opens in the Triggered Alerts view. All client and account alerts that have been triggered will be listed here.

  2. To see all the client and account alert specifications that you have set up, click the View drop-down arrow and select Alert Rules.

  3. From the toolbar above the grid, click Add to add a new security, client/account, or portfolio alert.

Portfolio Alerts

You can set up to 50 portfolio alerts.

  1. Portfolio level alerts are set up in the Accounts view of the Portfolio Management tab. Either go into a specific account and click on Alerts, or open the Practice area, and click on Alerts in the left column.

  2. From the toolbar above the grid, click Add to add a new security, client/account, or portfolio alert.

Research Alerts

  1. In the left navigation pane, click the Research tab, and then click Alerts. The Triggered Alerts view will appear. All security alerts that have been triggered will be listed here.

  2. To see all the security alert specifications that you have set up, click the View drop-down arrow and click Alert Rules.

  3. From the toolbar above the grid, click Add to add a new security alert.
