How to Create and Save an Aggregate Portfolio

  1. In a client’s list of accounts, select the accounts you want to merge by checking the boxes to the left of the account names.

  2. From the Action menu, point to Utilities, then click on Account Aggregate.

  3. The following message appears: Aggregate duplicate securities? Click Yes to continue.

  4. The aggregated holdings will be listed.

  5. Click the Save icon at the top of the page.

  6. A prompt asks you to choose Another Account or Group of Accounts (Dynamic Aggregate).

    1. When Another Account is selected, you are prompted to create a new static account to house these investments. This is a snapshot of the account in its current state. This account will not be updated if changes are made to the original account.

    2. Select Group of Accounts (Dynamic Aggregate)  to retain the securities' connection to their original accounts. When the changes occur to the underlying accounts, those changes are then reflected in this aggregate account.

  7. Click OK to name and save this aggregated account.
