How do I change the default benchmark for my practice?

The Morningstar U.S. Market TR index is the default benchmark for all accounts. To change the default benchmark for all of your accounts:

1. Click the global Tools menu, point to Settings, and click Default Benchmark.

2. The Select user benchmark box opens. Click the magnifying glass icon to select your desired benchmark.

3. Click OK.

For example, to set the S&P 500 TR as the default benchmark:

1. From the Tools menu, point to Settings and click Default Benchmark. The Select user benchmark dialog opens.

2. In the Default Benchmark line, click the magnifying glass icon. The Select Benchmark dialog opens.

3. Click the Within arrow and select Indexes.

4. In the Find box, type in “stand” and click Go. All the Standard & Poor’s indexes will appear in the Available Records box.

5. Highlight Standard & Poor’s 500 TR and click OK. You return to the Select user benchmark box.

6. The Default Benchmark box is now populated with Standard and Poor’s 500 TR. Click OK. Your practice's default benchmark has been assigned.
