We have increased our security requirements for login passwords. The following restrictions apply to all Morningstar Office passwords:
Passwords must be at least eight characters in length (increased from six).
Passwords must contain at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, and one number.
The word "Morningstar" cannot be used.
The name appearing before the @ in your login email cannot be used. For example, if your login name is jsmith@mstar.com, your password cannot contain "jsmith".
No more than three consecutive numbers or characters can be used (123 can be used, but not 1234; abc can be used, but not abcd).
No number or letter can be used 4 or more times in a row (5555 cannot be used).
If your current password does not meet these security standards, you will be prompted to change your password, but you will have five grace logins before the password change becomes mandatory.
Please note: If you use the same email address login to access Morningstar.com or the Investor Newsletters as you do for Morningstar Office, then your password to these sites will also change when you change your Morningstar Office password.
