Use the Growth Chart to access growth values plotted on a line graph. Include up to 15 securities in your chart. Choose to plot dividends, or to display Morningstar Ratings or Style Boxes in the legend beneath the chart.
To access the chart
Select securities from Research, or Portfolio Management, Accounts. Then, from the Action menu, choose Charts > Growth.
To edit the time period
Use the left- or right-facing arrows on the chart control at the top of the page to increase the start date or decrease the end date, respectively. The lower chart redraws dynamically as you move the arrows. You may also choose a standard time range from the Time Range drop-down menu. Or, type in the dates directly in the date input box.
To add securities
Click Edit Investments to add or remove securities to the chart. Or, double-click a security in the legend and click Delete to remove it from the chart.
To view growth values
Roll your mouse over any point along the line graph. If a growth value for a specific day does not appear, shorten the time period. For example, when the chart displays 1 year, weekly values will be graphed. But when the chart displays 6 months, daily values will be graphed.
To add data to the chart
Click the Dividend, Morningstar Rating, or Style Box icons in the lower right corner of the graph to display these data points on the chart.
To edit the appearance of the chart
Double-click a security name in the legend. Choose Color to change the line color for that security, or choose Graphic to change the weight of that line.
To print or present the chart
Export the resulting chart to PDF or PowerPoint.
