To change the initial investment
In the Initial Value $ box, type a new dollar amount.
Click Redraw. The graph will now display new data based on the new initial investment.
To change the time period
Use the boxes at the top of the screen marked Start and End. Click the up and down arrows to select a new time period.
Note: Your chart will only go back as far as the youngest fund, stock, or index in the chart. By default, charts go back 15 years. The Start Date always reflects the first day of the month; the End Date always reflects the last day of the month.
To change the scale of the chart
Click either the Logarithmic or the Linear buttons. The graph defaults to Logarithmic scale. What's the difference between Linear and Logarithmic scale?
To annualize the chart
Check the Annualize box. (If the graph's time period is over one year, the default is to annualize the returns.)
