Including your company logo on reports

To upload your logo, do the following:

  1. In the left navigation pane, click Home. Morningstar Office's home page opens.

  2. In the left-hand column, click Settings. The Settings page opens.

  3. In the Portfolio Accounting System Settings area, click Preference. The Preference dialog opens.

  4. In the Add Logo to Cover Page field, click the magnifying glass icon. Browse to the image file and click OK.

Note: The cover page logo must be in GIF or JPEG format and cannot exceed 265.5 pixels by 100 pixels.

  1. The file path appears in the Add Logo to Cover Page field.

  2. If you want to add a footer logo, in the Add Logo to Footer field, click the magnifying glass icon. Browse to the image file and click OK.

Note: The footer logo must be in GIF or JPEG format and cannot exceed 70 pixels by 40 pixels.

  1. The file path appears in the Add Logo to Footer field.

  2. Click .

Note: Morningstar Office does not rescale uploaded images. Logos will be displayed in their actual size.  

To include the logo on all reports, do the following:

  1. On the Settings page, in the Portfolio Accounting System Settings area, click Reports, Tax Lot Methods, Transactions, Management Fees. The Settings window opens.

  2. Double-click a report setting. The Report Setting window opens.

  3. Check the Include Logo box.

  4. Click .

To delete a logo, do the following:

  1. In the left navigation pane, click Home. Morningstar Office's home page opens.

  2. In the left-hand column, click Settings. The Settings page opens.

  3. Under Portfolio Accounting System Settings, click Preference. The Preference dialog opens.

  4. In the Add Logo to Cover Page and/or Add Logo to Footer field, highlight the file path and delete it.

  5. Click .

Note: Morningstar Office limits logo file sizes to 500KB. If you attempt to insert a logo larger than this, an error message appears.
