Morningstar Category Updates
Several Morningstar Category updates are available, and one new Broad Asset Class can be found in the following Research module universes:
- U.S. Open End Funds
- VA/VL Subaccounts
- Closed End Funds, and
- Exchange-Traded Funds.
The Target Date 2050+ Category has changed to Target Date 2051+
The new Morningstar Categories are:
- Target Date 2046-2050
- Foreign Small/Mid Blend
- India Equity, and
- Muni Single State Short.
The new Broad Asset Class is Sector U.S. Stock. The Morningstar Categories mapped to this Broad Asset Class are:
- Communications
- Consumer Cyclical
- Consumer Defensive
- Equity Energy
- Equity Precious Metals
- Financial
- Global Real Estate
- Health
- Industrials
- Miscellaneous Sector
- Natural Resources
- Real Estate
- Technology, and
- Utilities.
For the Strategy Target Asset Allocation View in the U.S. Open End Funds and VA/VL Subaccounts universes, the following three new data points have been added:
- Target Date—The expected Target Date of a given Target Date Fund
- Glide Path Type—Indicates if the glide path for a Target Date Series fund is managed "To Retirement" or "Through Retirement"
- Landing Point—The point within a glide path after which the target asset allocation remains fixed; measured in years to target (YTT) of a Target Date Series
Enhancements and Maintenance
This release also contains other enhancements and routine maintenance to existing features and functions.
