Display Inbox on Home Page
You now have the option to display your Activities Inbox on the Home page. Click the Edit icon at the top of the Home page to change your Home page settings.
New Markets Graph on Home Page
View trailing returns for Morningstar Total Return and other major indices. You must enable the graph by checking the Markets check box in your Home page settings.
Support + Training Redesign
The former Support + Training page on the Home tab is now a folder containing pages for Curriculum, Live Online Classes, Videos and Exercises, and Documentation. The new Morningstar Office Curriculum is broken into three blocks. For each class within the blocks, you can register for online training and view videos and documentation. You can also locate content by subject matter or media type.
Planning
Multiple Target Allocations
On the Efficient Frontier step, set different target allocations for taxable and tax-advantaged portfolios, and set different allocations for different time periods.
Security Allocation to Individual Accounts
On the Allocate step, generate a different proposed portfolio for each account.
Print Questionnaire Results
From the Risk Profile step, print a short report which includes the client’s risk profile and questionnaire responses.

Management Fee Discount
You can now specify a discount on management at the account or group level. In the Account window, go to Profile/Settings > Account Setup. In the Group window, go to Profile.
Format Options Added to Custodian Fee File Dialog Box
On the Billings page, when generating a Custodian Fee File, the Custodian drop-down has been renamed Fee File Format. The options "based on debiting account's custodian format" and "Generic format" have been added.
Price Date and Base Currency Columns Added
Columns for Price Date and Base Currency have been added to the Securities in Practice page. The Base Currency column has also been added to the following areas:
Summary and Intraday views for floating/fixed/transactional accounts, models, benchmarks, aggregate account/client view
Transactional account window > Transactions
Transactional account window > Transactions > Audit Report; and
Transaction Wizard.
Portfolio Reporting
Client Return Summary Report
This report is similar to the Client Position summary, except it summarizes the returns for the client as well as each account. This report can be run on either the client or group level.
1099 Consolidated Report
This report summarizes the income categories found on a typical 1099-DIV, 1099-INT, and 1099-Misc.
Benchmark Comparison
You will now be able to generate the Benchmark Comparison report as of any day. Previously, this report could only be generated as of month-end.
Performance Summary audit check
For the Performance Summary report, there are two methodologies for calculating total gain before or after management fees. When the two calculations are not equal, the system will display a warning message alerting you to the discrepancy.

New Defined Contribution Plan Module
The Defined Contribution Plan feature allows you to model an account as a retirement plan for an institution. You can select holdings for a plan, allocate assets to them, assign the necessary management and administrative fees, and generate reports. The Plan Status report allows you to evaluate numerous aspects of a plan, from asset allocation to performance and expenses. The Plan Comparison report examines two plans, side-by-side. Both reports help you back up your recommendations to clients.
Investment List and Search Criteria Subfolders
Right-click the My Lists and My Search Criteria folders to create custom subfolders for your investment lists and search criteria.
Investment Selection Process Improvements
When adding investments to an Investment List, you now have the option of adding a single investment from within the Select Investments dialog box. Previously, a second dialog box had to be launched to select a security. The auto-complete functionality that already exists in the Quicktake Search and Account Holdings areas has been added to the Select Investments dialog box.
Definition Master
Separation of Reporting Asset Class and Composition
When you change the reporting asset class without setting up the composition for a security, the composition will no longer change to 100% Not Classified. In reports, securities without a user-defined composition will continue to use Morningstar’s composition breakdown.
Add Multiple Securities to Reclassification Blotter
You can now search for and select multiple investments at once in the Add Security dialog box.
Set Reporting Asset Class for Multiple Securities on Reclassification Blotter
You can now select multiple securities and go to Action > Set Reporting Asset Class.
1099 Reporting Category Column Added
You can now specify the 1099 Reporting Category on the Securities page.

New Import Sources
Raymond James Download Data Transfer (RJDDT) and First Clearing (Generic Format) are now available from the Import menu.
Morningstar Client Name Display on Transactions Blotter
You can now easily identify which Morningstar household accounts belong to in the Transactions blotter.
Globalized Import Function for Morningstar Security Matching
Morningstar Office will attempt to map your imported securities to Morningstar-tracked securities for researching purposes. You can configure the security matching process by selecting the countries where your securities are traded globally (Import > File > Set Country List). The import process will select the first match from your selected country list according to your selected order.
Improved Reconciliation Functionality
The reconciliation process has been enhanced to evaluate any security mapping and account mapping changes you make in the import blotters to resolve out of balance positions.
Un-mapping Securities
You can now un-map securities that we have auto-mapped to Morningstar-tracked securities by the import process if you wish to save the security as a user-defined security. Go to the Securities blotter to select the securities you would like to un-map and click the new Save as User-Defined button on the toolbar.

Upload Documents to OE and post to Client Web Portal
From the universal Tools menu, select Upload Document to upload files from your computer to the Reports area. You can then post the files to the Client Web Portal. Supported formats are .doc, .pdf, .xls, .txt, .ppt, .jpg, .gif, and .bmp.
Client Web Portal - Assign Group Reports to Any Client
On the Reports page of the group window, you can assign reports to a client.

Search by age range on the Clients page in Practice.
Research
New UIT Universe
The Unit Investment Trust universe has been added to the Research tab. More than 8,000 UITs are available.
Stock Data Point Additions
Over 200 data points have been added to the US Stocks universe. Twelve new views are available from the View drop-down menu.
Glide Path Data Added to Open End Funds Universe
In the United States Mutual Funds universe, you can display glide path data (the asset allocation of a target-date fund in 5 year increments to/from retirement) using the new Strategy Target Asset Allocation view. The following data points are displayed:
