Morningstar Office Update January 5, 2007

An updated version of Morningstar Office is now available. It includes many new features and enhancements, including:

Accounts

You can now edit a user-defined security from the right-click menu in any of the Holdings views. Previously, this option was only available from the Edit Definition Master feature in the Tools menu.

Enter up to nine decimal places when inputting number of shares and prices. Previously, the maximum number of decimal places accepted was four.

Import

Pershing: The cost basis imported from the Tax Lot (PPES) file will now be used in calculating Gain/Loss values but will not affect cash flows prior to the initialization date. This method is more accurate because the PPES file does not contain complete transaction history.

Advent: Import management fee and foreign tax paid transactions from the transaction (.cli) files. Previously, the cash flows associated with these transactions were not fully recorded.
