Sharing

Share clients, prospects, investment lists, searches, models and more with other Office users, both within and outside your firm. To share, select the item, then click the Action menu.

Groups and Composites

Groups and Composites allow you to group accounts together so you can run performance reports on the included accounts. Groups are less restrictive than composites, in that an account can be assigned to any number of groups. All the new PAS reports are available for Groups. Groups and Composites are located in Practice.

Import

You may import your custodial data from SchwabLink and Fidelity Advisor Channel. Both tools offer a variety of data formats, and so you should be sure that you are downloading data in Schwab's classic format and Fidelity's Centerpiece format. The first step in importing is to initialize positions with a full Build or Positions file, and then begin importing transactions for subsequent date ranges.

PAS Settings

In Settings you can set up default values for certain data fields and set up instructions to indicate how PAS processes things like transactions, performance calculations, management fees, and tax lot methods. These settings can be applied to clients, accounts, and/or holdings. The default setting is at the user level. Settings at lower levels override higher-level settings. In Preference, you indicate the currency displayed, how the date and currency are displayed, and you can add your company logo to be included on your reports. Only one set of preferences is allowed. To access, in the left navigation page, click Home, then click Settings.

Billings

You can enter, view, edit, or delete billing or payment items charged to your client. Billing types include billable services, service charges, management fees, payments, and adjustments. You can also view billing history and generate billing statements. To access, in the left navigation page, click Practice, then click Billings.

Net Worth Statement

Create a Net Worth Statement for your client to see all their assets and liabilities in one report.

Investment Lists

You can create multi-asset lists in Morningstar Office. Investment lists are housed in the Workspace area.
