New Billing (Adjustment) Dialog Box

Required fields are in blue.

  1. Click the Billing Type arrow to select Adjustment.

  2. In the Client Name box, click the magnifying glass icon to select the client this adjustment is for. The Select Client dialog opens. Select the client.

  3. In the Date box, enter (or use the calendar icon to select) the date the adjustment is charged or credited to the client.

  4. Click the Adjustment Type arrow to select Credit or Charge.

  5. If you selected Credit, then click the Discount Method arrow to select None, By Amount or By Percent. (If you select By Amount, you will need to enter the Discount Amount. If you select By Percent, you will need to enter the Discount Rate. )

  6. Click the Adjustment applies to magnifying glass icon to select which item or client this adjustment is applied to.

  7. To save this adjustment and enter a new billing, click . To save this adjustment and close out of the dialog box, click .

Note: Adjustments are adjustments made to billable items or billing statement totals after the statement for such an item was already generated. Payment is applied to older balance first.
