By default, data points are grouped in views containing comparable data. The View menu lets you switch among these groupings. At times, you may want to change the display to show just those data points you’re interested in. Morningstar Office offers the capability to create custom views.
To customize a view
By default, the Available Columns list displays all the data points in the Snapshot view. Click the Select a view arrow to choose other views or All, which displays all of Morningstar Office's data points alphabetically.
Select the desired data points from the Available columns list, and move them to the Selected columns list by clicking them, or by highlighting the data points and clicking .
Click Save. The Save as Custom View box opens.
In the Name box, type the name for the view. Click OK. You will be returned to the spreadsheet.
Click the View arrow and select Custom. The Select Custom Views box opens.
In the Custom Views box, click on the desired view. The view's data points will appear in the Selected Columns box. Click OK.
