On the Holdings Entry page, you can create or edit a model portfolio by adding holdings. To add holdings, do the following:
To add several holdings at once, click Add multiple. The Add Holdings dialog box appears.
To enter holdings one at a time, do one of the following:
Click the magnifying glass icon. The Add Holdings dialog box appears.
In the Symbol field, enter the ticker for the desired investment, then press the <TAB> key. The row populates with the investment name.
In the Name field, enter the name of the desired investment, press the <TAB> key. The row populates with the investment name.
Note: If you enter the first four characters of the investment name and press <TAB>, the Available Records dialog box appears, displaying possible matches. Click on the name of the desired investment, then click OK.
In the Enter by: field, click the Weight(%) or Amount radio button. Weight(%) is selected by default.
In the Total Amount field, enter the total amount you want to allocate.
If you selected the Weight(%) radio button and you want to allocate the same percentage to each holding, click the Equal Weight button.
If you selected the Amount radio button and you want to allocate the same currency value to each holding, click the Apply Amount to All button.
If you selected the Weight(%) radio button, enter percentages for each holding n the Weight(%) column.
If you selected the Amount radio button, enter amounts in the Equivalent Amount column.
In the Tolerance (%) column, enter maximum tolerance amounts for the holdings, if desired.
Click Finish.
