In the Model Name field, enter a name for the model asset allocation.
To create an Asset Allocation to use in Investment Planning, select the Market Assumptions radio button, then click the magnifying glass icon.
The Change Market Assumptions dialog opens. Click Go.
You will see Morningstar Basic, Morningstar Consolidated, Morningstar Expanded, and any custom market assumptions you have created. Select the desired set, then click OK.
Note: The market assumptions must be the same for the asset allocation you are creating and the plan in which you want to use the asset allocation. If you create a model asset allocation using Morningstar Expanded market assumptions, you cannot use it as a target allocation in a plan that uses Morningstar Basic market assumptions.
To create an Asset Allocation to use in portfolio accounting and reports, select the Reporting Asset Class Set radio button, then click the magnifying glass icon.
The Change Reporting Asset Class Set dialog opens. Click Go.
You will see Morningstar Basic, Morningstar Consolidated, Morningstar Expanded, and any custom market assumptions you have created. Select the desired set, then click OK.
In the Allocation (%) boxes, enter allocation percentages for the desired asset classes.
Note: Allocation values must add up to 100.
In the Tolerance (%) boxes, enter maximum tolerance percentages for the asset classes, if desired.
When you are finished, click OK.
