For imported transactions missing prices, the import process will attempt to capture the prices from the imported price file. If found, the price will be pre-filled on the transaction in the Transactions blotter. If prices are not found, you can use the Price Lookup function to find missing prices.
To look up prices, do the following:
On the Transactions blotter, scroll to the right to view the Error Message column.
If you see "Data Missing", check the boxes of the rows with this message, then click Price Lookup on the toolbar. The Price Lookup dialog box appears.
Note: Based on your Price Source setting, the system will search either the historical imported prices in the Definition Master or the Morningstar database prices. If a transaction date occurred on a day the markets were closed, the previous day's price is given.
If prices are not found, you can manually enter prices by double-clicking in the Price field and typing the price.
Click Apply Prices. The system will auto-update the corresponding transactions in the Transactions blotter and automatically calculate the Net Amount and Gross Amount fields upon saving to the Transactions blotter.
