The Morningstar U.S. Market Index TR is the default benchmark for all accounts. However, we recognize that it is not always the most relevant index to compare with your search results, list, portfolio, or hypothetical illustration. You can select another benchmark from a variety of securities, categories, objectives, or other indexes.
From the top menu, select Tools, Find, Find Account with Benchmark.
Click the Within arrow to choose the category type you want. Choices may include research universes, categories, objectives, custom benchmarks, and indexes.
Click the Find By arrow to select either Name or Ticker (if applicable).
In the Find box, type the name or ticker and click Go. Matching items appear in the Available Records box.
Highlight your desired benchmark. You may only select one.
Click OK.
