In conjunction with Insurance Group Separate Accounts (IGSA), Morningstar is introducing a specific datapoint that will apply to IGSA: contract asset charges.
Contract asset charges are monthly fees charged under an IGSA to cover the sales, marketing, and administrative expenses of the investment vehicle. However, despite no industry consensus on the definition of contract asset charges all IGSA providers must define in the database the main, specific components or services that they include in their definition of CAC.
