Percentage Change

The percentage difference between a value in the more-recent period and the same entry in the prior period. The Workstation provides percentage change information for many of the data fields. It is calculated by dividing the more-recent figure by the corresponding figure in the prior period, subtracting 1, and expressing the result as a percentage. For example, the calculation for the percentage change between total assets in 1995 and total assets in 1994 is (total assets 1995 /total assets 1994 - 1) * 100.
