GIPS Compliance

The Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) are voluntary global reporting guidelines that investment professionals use to insure fair representation and full disclosure of investment performance. On February 19, 1999, AIMR (now CFA Institute) formally endorsed the Global Investment Performance Standards as the worldwide standard to calculate and present investment performance.

The GIPS standards are ethical standards to be used by investment managers for creating performance presentations that ensure fair representation and full disclosure.
