Alerts

With Alerts, you can specify individual securities to track and we will notify you of changes. You can access Alerts information from the Home page.

Creating a security alert

  1. From the Home menu, click on Alerts. The Alerts spreadsheet opens, in the Triggered Alerts view.

  2. On the Action Shortcuts tool bar, click Add. The Add Security Alert box opens.

  3. Select Alert Type from the drop-down box. Types of alerts available:

  1. Click the magnifying glass icon in the Security box to select the target security. Select Universes or My Lists radio button.

  2. Filter the search by filling out the text box.

  3. Select your security and click OK. You'll be returned to the Add Security Alert box.

  4. Choose whether or not you want to be notified via e-mail if this alert has been triggered.

  5. Click OK. Your new security alert has been saved.

Alerts Rules View

Lists all of your saved alerts rules, regardless of whether they have been triggered.  

Alert Type: the specific alert that has been set (e.g. Morningstar Rating change, Name change)

Security: name of security for which the alert will be triggered

Date set: date the alert was originally saved

E-mail: indicates whether or not you elected to be notified via e-mail when the alert is triggered

Up to 25 items can appear in the spreadsheet at one time. Click the arrow to scroll to the next set of 25.

Triggered Alerts View

Lists alerts rules that have changed values.

Alert Type: the specific alert that has been set (e.g. Morningstar Rating change, Name change)

Trigger Date: date the alert was triggered

Security: name of security for which the alert will be triggered

Double click on the row to review the previous and current value of the triggered alert.

To clear the triggered alert, select the checkbox next to the Alert Type and click Action>Delete.
