Conditional Formatting

Conditional formatting allows visual detection of investments which meet conditions which were added to the report.  Performance Reporting formatting is based on user defined rules to apply to your report and the investments which meet the conditions of those rules will receive the appropriate formatting selected.  Adding or modifying conditional formatting does not require report recalculation, and formatting will also export to excel.

Accessing Conditional Formatting

Conditional formatting can be accessed via the action menu, or via right click menus in main report screen.

Setup Rules and Conditions

Performance Report formatting consists of unlimited number of rules.  Each rule can consist of unlimited number of conditions.  Conditions can comprise of any supplementary, historical, performance, or rank columns which are on the report.  To get started simply select the parameters for the empty condition under Rule 1, then either add a new condition by click the + Add button, or click the Add Rule button to add a new rule.

Rule Order

The order of the rules determines what formatting will be applied to which investment.  When an investment can be categorized under more than one rule, then the formatting which will be applied will be the lower rule number.  I.E. Rule 1 formatting takes precedent over Rule 2 and Rule 2 take precedence over Rule 3, etc.  You can modify the order of the rules, simply click the up/down arrow buttons at the top right of each rule.

Apply Formatting

You have the option to modify cell color, text color, and set text to bold.  For rules which consist of only one condition the option to apply format to the cell only is also provided.

Enable/Disable Formatting Rules

To temporarily enable/disable a rule (without removing it from the report), simply check or uncheck the active check box.
