Charts Overview

The following charts are available in Morningstar Office. Most charts can be created in multiple ways; from the top menu under New, Charts, or from the Research, Workspace, or Portfolio Management tabs. Note: Not all charts are available from all menus. Rolling Return (Bar or Line)

Select one item to be included in the Rolling Return (Bar) chart or up to 15 securities for the Rolling Return (Line) chart.

This chart can be created using a bar or line graph and provides a powerful way to show the benefits of long-term investing. By highlighting the volatility of short-term movements in security returns and contrasting them with the relative stability of longer-term movements, investors can see convincing results for riding out a security's rougher periods.

A negative number indicates that the fund's shares sold at a discount to NAV; a positive number indicates the shares sold at a premium. A maximum of 10 items can be graphed.
