Data Reconciliation Options

On the import blotters, there are three options for reconciliation:

Imported Activity Only

Also known as Quick Reconciliation, this option reconciles only the accounts that have transactional activity for the current import session. Accounts that have no transactions for this session will not be reconciled.

Imported Accounts

This option, also known as Normal Reconciliation, is the default option. Use this option to reconcile all the accounts that have been imported for the current import session. Imported accounts with no transactional activity will still be reconciled.

All Posted Accounts

This option, also known as Comprehensive Reconciliation, reconciles every account that has ever been imported into Morningstar from the selected import source. This option is to be used when accounts are closed and dropped from the custodian's feed without the necessary closing transactions. This option does not need to be run every day, but should be run periodically to check for dormant accounts in Morningstar that should be closed.

Include Share Tolerance

This option provides a level of share tolerance to the reconciliation results. If this option is selected and the out of balance is less than or equal to 0.01, it will not be displayed in the Failed Reconciliation Results area. Deselecting this option will turn off the tolerance and display all results that are out of balance.

To reconcile transactions, click the Reconcile drop-down field, select one of the options described above, then click Go.
