An Unmanaged Asset is an asset or account that the Advisor does not manage but the client wants it to be included on reports.
From the Portfolio Management tab, click the Accounts page.
From the Accounts grid, double click the account to open the record.
Click on Profile/Settings, and then Account Settings.
At the bottom of the screen, place a checkmark next to Unmanaged Asset to select that option.

Click on Holdings Summary. From the grid, place a checkmark next to the holding to be edited.
From the toolbar above the grid, click on the Action menu, and then Holding Settings.
Place a checkmark next to Unmanaged Asset to select that option.
It will be excluded from the total of Assets Under Management (AUM).
It will be excluded from the Assets Under Management report.
It will be excluded from Billing.
If a holding is set to unmanaged, it will be grayed out on the Holdings Summary screen.
The table below shows the reporting behavior in relation to these options:
The holding has been marked as an Unmanaged Asset.
The Report Setting for Unmanaged Asset is set to either Include in Market Value or Omit from Market Value.
Exclude from Performance Calculation has been set at either the holding level or security level.
