How to Transfer Contact Information from Redtail CRM into Office

In addition to viewing Morningstar reports within Redtail CRM, Office subscribers who also subscribe to Retail CRM can pull client contact information directly from Redtail CRM into Morningstar Office. This allows for a single entry point for all contact information.

The Redtail integration with Morningstar Office requires users to first activate the Redtail data pull from within Morningstar Office. To activate the data pull, do the following:

From the Home tab in Office, go to Settings, Integrations, and then click on the Integrations Settings link.
From the Integrated Services area of the Self Service Access Codes page, click the Use Redtail CRM Contact Data button. The Redtail Accounts dialog box opens.

Note: Once the authentication process completes, the Use Redtail CRM Contact Data button changes to Terminate Redtail Connection. When clicked, the data pull option is turned off immediately and the button reverts to the original Use Redtail CRM Contact Data. You may reconnect at any time. To remove access to Redtail CRM completely, contact your CSC.

Enter your Redtail CRM Username and Password.
Click Authenticate.

Credentials entered for verification are not stored by Morningstar; all communications are SSL secured throughout the process.

Morningstar Office will communicate with Redtail CRM to retrieve your Redtail UserKey, which is unique to you on the Redtail system. Morningstar office requests information with the UserKey for all subsequent requests, so changing your Redtail password does not require an update of the Morningstar Office information.

If you have previously completed the "transfer Positiional Data to Redtail" workflow, Morningstar has retreived your Redtail UserKey and will not request your Redtail credentials again.

Upon verification of your credentials, Morningstar will notify you of a successful authentication and the process is complete.
Click Continue.

Once the connection process completes, Morningstar Office will present options for a one-time data conversion of contacts, calendar, and tasks. Refer to the data conversion topic for more information.
